I’m thrilled to announce my next book, a fantasy romance novel titled Eyes of Molten Silver! This romantasy has Dungeons & Dragons vibes, since its inspired by the campaign I’m a Dungeon Master for and currently running. Slated for a summer 2026 publication, it features:
- lovers to enemies to lovers
- hurt/comfort
- dragon gods
- the only one bed trope
- a College of Swords Bard-inspired female protagonist
- a Druid/Paladin love interest
The setting was heavily inspired by my new home in the Pacific Northwest. Living here for a little over a year now (at the time of my writing this blog), my husband and I have done a bunch of hikes throughout Washington. Each and every hike has been endlessly inspiring.
Beyond my D&D campaign, the story itself also draws inspiration from some of my favorite fantasy media. If you’re a fan of House of the Dragon, Baldur’s Gate 3, Critical Role, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Fire Emblem (especially Fates and Three Houses), and books like A Fate Inked In Blood, When The Moon Hatched, and Fourth Wing, then you’re in for a treat.
I’m super excited to once more work with the Conquest Publishing team on this. They’ve handled my romantic comedy Stuck On The Slopes with such love and care, and I’ve had a phenomenal experience working with them thus far. When Eyes of Molten Silver was ready for me to query, I knew right away that I wanted Conquest to have first dibs on it since it’s been such a delight.
I cannot wait for all of you to meet Rhea and Aspen next year!
The watercolor above was commissioned by me at the Washington Midsummer Renaissance Festival. Jillian of Midgard did a fantastic job bringing Aspen (the handsome redhead on the left) and Rhea (the gorgeous Netherchild, my universe’s version of a Tiefling, on the right) to life in her style. And yes, I’ve played as both Aspen and Rhea in Baldur’s Gate 3. It made for a really fun character study! These two are some of my favorite characters that I’ve written, so much so that Eyes of Molten Silver isn’t all I have planned for them… but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there! 😉
